Mollie Courtney

Mollie had been with the company just a few months when she first witnessed a promotion to Partner. And it made an impression. Senior manager Sheila Conner, upon hearing the news from Larry Connor, sprinted across the room and gripped the managing partner in a bear hug.

“I thought, “Wow, this is a pretty big deal,” Mollie said recently. “She was so excited.

I thought nothing could top that.”

Not until it was her turn anyway.

Mollie, an administrative assistant, rose to partner in less than six years. She did it by quickly establishing herself as a go-to person regardless of the problem or the department.

“She’s just one of those people that everyone loves and everyone can count on,” said Connor Group Partner Pat Rini. “She puts in more hours than anyone I know. She never says, ‘That’s not my job.’ It’s obvious she has a passion for what she does.”

It wasn’t always that way. Before coming to The Connor Group she’d worked in several capacities in several office jobs. None, she said, offered the kind of fit she found with The Connor Group.

“This isn’t a job,” she said. “If I had been a little wiser when I got here, I would have realized it right away. I came here expecting a job and it turned into a career pretty quickly.

“I feel incredibly lucky.”
