When she graduated from college, Stephanie was interested in the apartment industry. The industry, however, was not interested in her.

“I didn’t have any experience,” she said, “so I couldn’t even get an interview.”

Then she found The Connor Group, a company that rarely hires associates with industry experience. Instead, the company focuses on finding talented individuals and teaching them its own proven systems. As the Director of Training, Stephanie is now in charge of that process. And just nine years removed from her introduction to the industry she’s a Partner in one of the largest privately-held real estate investment firms in the country.

After starting with The Connor Group as a sales associate, she was promoted to senior sales, then property manager. She became one of the company’s top managers and then was handpicked to head up Training.

“I know a lot of really talented people who haven’t been able to advance in their career as quickly as I have,” she said. “But a lot of the time it’s because they haven’t been given the opportunity. I got with a good company at a young age.
